There are two versions of the CFW-10, the Windowed version and the OEM (no-window version).
Connecting a Windowed CFW-10
Open the CFW-10 by removing the nine button head cap screws (BHCS) with the hex tool provided.
Remove the camera's front plate by removing the six phillips head screws and set them aside should you ever decide to remove the CFW-10.
Place the CFW-10 onto the camera with the window in the CFW-10 down (towards the camera). Make sure you don't unseat or pinch the O-Ring on the top of the camera.
Attach the CFW-10 to the camera with the six 4-40 x 3/16 BHCS provided, tightening the screws half-way at first and then all the way on a second pass.
Reassemble the CFW-10.
Connecting an OEM (no-window) CFW-10
Open the CFW-10 by removing the nine button head cap screws (BHCS) with the hex tool provided.
Remove the T-Thread D-Block from the front of the camera by removing the four phillips head screws and set them aside.
Attach the CFW-10 to the camera using four of the 4-40 x 3/16 BHCS provided.
Connecting to the Telescope
The front of both versions of the CFW-10 has a female T-Thread. You can screw in a 1.25 or 2 inch nosepiece or Visual Back adapter by simply screwing it directly into the CFW-10 front cover.
Both versions of the CFW-10 also have mounting holes for the SBIG T-Thread D-Block should you choose to use it. Remove the D-Block from the front of your camera and attach it to the front of the CFW-10.
