As you know, SBIG became part of a larger company, Aplegen, Inc., earlier this year.  Since then we have been working hard to deliver more and better products to the Astronomy market.  The ST-i camera is a great success, by all accounts.  A number of other things are in the works that we will announce as we get closer to production.

One of the benefits of having more resources to develop and build new products is the economy of scale.  With our increased buying power, we can realize greater savings in material cost and this applies even to products already in production as we stock up for speedier deliveries to you and the customer.  In celebration of this new relationship with Aplegen, Inc., and concurrent with the launching of our new web site we would like to say thank you by offering our customers some exceptional values, for a limited time, by reducing prices to unheard of levels.  Call it our "Back to School" special, or our own version of an economic "Stimulus Package," but whatever you call it, this will be an unmatched event.
